Raised as an undocumented Russian immigrant in Texas, Katya Suvorova (she/her), now a US citizen, writes from Seattle. Her creative process is fueled by her husband’s amateur barista skills, a cat whose rowdiness once earned a spot on the no-fly list, and a three-legged dog who loves to cuddle. Her irreverent debut memoir, Ungrateful Immigrant Daughter, will be released by Alcove Press in the Fall of 2026.
